Interested in your A/C as listed on ebay. What is the skin of the aircraft made of - looks like the wings are rag? What are some storage considerations if a hangar is not available? How long to install/uninstall the wings? Why would anyone purchase a two cycle engine for an aircraft? Aircraft like yours is the answer for general aviation fans.
Hi Robert,
The fabric is made by Dimension Polyants in Germany called Ultralam. X-Air makes a nice cover set for the plane for outdoor storage which I have in stock or the wings can be folded back or removed for transport in about 30 minutes. Of course the best option,if available reasonably, is hangar storage. Thanks, John

Hi there John, great site! Bought my kit from Phil Leroy in 2005. I love it. Standard Xair #661, 582, Powerfin F 72 inch. Excellent combination. Please go to www.theflightsforlife for some info on our flying benefits in an Xair, of course! Could sure use a dealer/sponsor for the flight from Bisbee Arizona to Ohskosh, Great advertising for Xair. Thanks. I/ll be ordering some spares. Kim Christian N349AZ
Glad to assist Kim, currently battling prostate cancer as we speak, just out of a prostatectomy.
Willing to donate $300 to your efforts for every new X-air sold through you, up to 5, $1,500 maximum. How's that?
John

John,
You sure know how to pull off a fantastic event. The fly-in last Saturday was tops! It's a shame Gene wasn't there but tell him his masterpiece BBQ was great as usual. Hope he gets to feeling better soon.
God speed on your upcoming event.
Cheers
Thanks for all your help in making it happen Dennis!

Would the Stingray owner consider a trade?
CHALET Arrowhead Trailer sleeps 4 1yr old.
I don't suppose it has folding wings.
What do you have with folding wings and amphibious floats?
Would you be interested in a trade. I won't be using the trailer if I get the plane.
What about flight training?
Paul
Hi Paul, I'll contact you this am, Monday, by phone. I got your phone message, thanks, John

I just bought a 2005 x-air hanuman with a 582 rotax engine, it's used for teaching people to fly.
Question: what would it take to replace the 582 rotax with a 912 rotax engine?
807-472-6437
Cheers
Hi Mitz, It would of course take the 912 mount, which I have in stock, as well as some serious modifying of the cowl. Fiberglass experience is a plus here, hope this helps, John

Very nice and informative site John,It was nice to see you, and doing so well.i am still looking for a plane, was thinking if i got one of yours,if i put it together would i be able to do the annual and maintenance ..
Yes, if you do it as a homebuilt or take the 2 day, 16 hr. repairman's course, you can do your own annuals.

What a nice post, I know my web guy will love it, after all, he deserves it! By the way, we DO try harder, thanks, John

Hi! I'm a Flightstar & Kenworth driver in Northern NYS. Been flying since '96 when I became solo pilot and test pilot at the same moment after restoring my '82 single place. I hanger at a local farmer's place, but I mostly operate out of Boonville Airpark 1NK7. I fly to local airshows and ultralight events in the Mohawk Valley area with enroute refueling help from my ground support crew. If you come up this way you can find me at the Stittville AFB PPC event, or the Oneida County Airshow. On the road I'm up and down I-81 pulling a Nirvana Springwater trailer. Channel 3 or 19, Callsign/Handle is "Wingnut".
